easy peasy green cake

This is one of the first cakes I learned how to make, as a young girl. It's a must for children's birthday parties and you can make it any colour you wish or no colour at all. It's basically a downgraded cheap mazarin cake without marzipan.

bake at 180 degrees celsius for 45 min.
200 g suger
150 g butter
2 eggs
3 tbsp almond extract
1 tbsp green food colouring
150 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 dl water

Beat the sugar and butter until a smooth paste. Add the eggs, one at a time and fully incorporate
before adding the next egg.
Pour in the almond extract and the green food colouring, mix well so all the batter is evenly coloured.
Fold in the flour, baking powder and water.
Pour the batter in to a buttered ring mold.

200 g icing suger
3 tbsp boiling water
3 tbsp coco powder

Mix all the ingredients and cover the cake when cooled.
