The hole family has been more or less sick so fare this december. I have managed to semi decorate the apartment and do some backing. I always bake date bread at christmastime. The recipe is an old one from my grandmother.Ingredients (1 bread):
2 eggs
200 grams brown sugar
500 grams flour
1 spoon (generous) backing powder
400 grams dates (cut into half)
1 teacup boiling water
How to:
Take out the stones and cut the dates in half. Pour a teacup of boiling water over the dates and set aside (this makes for a moist bread). Beat eggs and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add the flour and baking powder and mix well. Last but not least add the now moist dates to the batter and bake at 180 degrees celsius for a good hour. Bon apetit
