Cheap & Chic

Before my birthday in January, I made number two IKEA Alto shaped rug for our bathroom. I especially like a blue/white color scheme when it comes to bathrooms. I think it has something to do with all cleaning commercials have that exact scheme.

We'r tying the knot

Our wedding invitation will be letter pressed by an nice old man. In his printing basement he has two old, but still going strong, Heidelburgs. Before him his father worked as a printer in the basement and before his father, his grandfather. Deciding how the invitations are to look, is to me almost impossible. Having said that, I have decided, that there will be knots involved.

Nestled in and watching the Oscars

Red Carpet - My all time favorite actress and fashion icon of them ALL Tilda Swinton looks fabulous. Tilda is wearing a Lanvin number from the Pre-Fall 2009 collection on the Oscars red carpet tonight. The Oscars - for best male in a leading role I´m so hoping that Mickey Rourke for "The Wrestler" takes the oscar home and best foreign language film a great and different film "Waltz with Bashir"

I love the fact that, by moving the sofa in our living room, we have a hole new space. I´ll move the sofa every three months and people always say:"have you moved the sofa again?" This time I´m really happy with the outcome of our moving things around and I think hanging out lithographys together looks grand

spoon full of sugar

I got these two "gold" spoons as a present - one at christmas and one for my birthday. They´re so delicate and look kinda frail. I use them as sugar spoons and when I drink thé from small thé cups. I don´t know who makes them, but their bought at Stilleben

Yet Another ingenious Czech thing

Ok Dr. Oetker isn´t czech, but I bought a couple of these "warm chocolate creamy pudding drinks", when in Prague. It´s like drinking extra thick hot chocolate. Apparently my sweet tooth is more sweet than than average czech, because I end up adding a couple drops of vanilla extract. I already have a ritual, when I make a cup of "warm chocolate creamy pudding drink". The living room needs to be warm and cosy with candlelights lit and at least one crisp magazine to read. Sladký moment translates to "Sweet moment" and thats just what Dr. Oetker "warm chocolate creamy pudding drinks" provide!

Love at first site

I received a long awaited mail today from my close friend mr. Christian Louboutin The site is up and running and so fun to surf through. It was love at first site when I saw the dark marine Bow T. I´d love to wear them with my vintage wedding dress. Having said that giving a cool 1000 $ for a pair of shoes...I don´t know.

Must see, must do and must taste!

When in Copenhagen, there are the must see/must do things like paying H. C. Andersens Little Mermaid a visit, taking a stroll down Ny Havn and trying Tivolis many amusements. But what about the must taste things to do in cph? One thing I would recommend as a serious MUST is La Glace - one of the oldest and probably best confectionary in Denmark. It was founded the 8th of October 1870. It is an experience to visit the confectionary with the cakes are to die for! My favorite besides Sarah Bernhard is the Volmer Sørensen cake below.
1 H. C. Andersens cake consits of lemon mousse, rasberry butter with anise, nut sponge. Decorated with white chocolate. 2 The Volmer Cake consists of soft nougat in whipped cream, macaroon bottom, apricot marmalade, and vanilla cream. Decorated with a marzipan border.
3 The Sports Cake consists of crushed nougat, whipped cream, macaroon bottom and caramelized choux pastry. 4 The Autumn Cake consists of chocolate truffle, chocolate bottom, smothered in butter chocolate and decorated with chocolate leaves.
