Happy New Year

I´d like to wish all of my fellow bloggers and everyone else a happy and prospers new year. I´m a busy bee making truffles on to a pink self-made christmas tree (Martha would be proud). I´ll be sure to post pictures of the tree and also of my christmas trip to the Faroe Islands. I´m leave you with images and inspiration for this evening from my/our trusted Martha. Blue velvet


I have sewed a new cover for my beloved teak chair, that has followed me the last seven years. For the old cover I used some cheap thin dark blue fabric from Ikea. With the dark chair and a dark sofa the living room looked small and full of furniture. The look of the living rooms in the first number of Rum with purple, blue and lilac suede really inspired me - so thanks to Rum Id.

Chunky organic chocolate


Irma has the greatest organic chunky chocolate - to eat with bread. The stuff is actually addictive! Irmas graphic identity is simple and gorgeous. They use their fifth element cleverly in all products - like with the chocolate where the Irma girls head is outlined. Very nice!

Ho ho ho


Kristjan and I spent a couple of hours Saturday searching the perfect christmas tree...but we had no luck, so we´ll try again today. Fingers crossed! Our kitchen is kind a christmasy in that it´s hot red, but I´ve done some decorating anyways.

Discombobulated [dis⋅com⋅bob⋅u⋅late]


My vocabulary grew with one wonderful english word tonight as I was watching the end of "The weakest link". One of the contestants said she was "discombobulated" to have been voted off. If someone asked me what I thought the word meant, I would probably say a bootie discusprolaps of some sort, and then people would look pretty discombobulated at me!

And then some!

The last few days have been hectic and some!
1. Thursday seven people in the bureau where I´m interning lost there jobs
2. Friday the bureau where I´m interning had there annual christmas party (not great timing) but I got way waisted and had a blast
3. Sunday Kristjan was hospitalized due to kidney stones
Poor thing...he´s ok now:o) During my visit at the hospital I saw a mini art expiation in the foyer about the illustrator Leonard Weisgard.
