Muggie Moscow

If I need to get posh for an occasion, than on with my favorite hair accessory the Christmassy star from Muggie Moscow. I was so exited when I bought it, and now a year later I still smile every time I see the star sitting in our closet. I can´t seem to find anything about Muggie Moscow on the internet, but I know that behind hair accessories is a young danish designer. Art Rebels sell Muggie Moscow hair accessories.

Typographic Hornsea

Hornsea Pottery isn´t that common in Denmark, however Julie a friend has this wonderful graphic mug by Hornsea. It´s the one thing she wished to inherit when her grandmother past away, as the mug had much sentimental value. Must say I´m loving the typographic elephant look. It´s made by John Clappison an english ceramic and glass designer.

3 x goddaughters

Now this is not design related, but I just have to share it. I´m godmother to these tree small angels dressed in the national costume. The photo was taken at the Olaf festival held every year in 28-29 july in Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands. Are they cute or what!?

Colorfull Copco

I'w been collecting Copco pans and pots for some years now. I'm mostly interested in the yellow ones, but they are not that common. I gave $ 25 for the blue Le Creuset pot in a salvation army store (happy days). I love the size and I use it for everything from molded wine to great big curries. The small yellow pan is perfect for two eggs in the morning, one for Kristjan and one for me:o)

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

It´s International women´s day today and I attended a lecture about women's role in todays society at the Faroese House in Copenhagen. When bicycling my way home I thought about the famous quote by Madeleine Albright that also was mentioned at the lecture:

"There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.”

and I must conclude that all my fellow female bloggers are going directly upstairs to heaven. The blogsphere is very much a positive and encouraging "place" where women from all backgrounds, beliefs, nationalities and age can stand together and share a part of their/our lives.
